I like the centralized automation and reliability of Files.com. It completely eliminated our fragile custom Apex + middleware setup by acting as a smart orchestration layer that automatically routes files to the right FTP servers based on rules, keeps a secure backup of everything, and handles bi-directional sync with zero maintenance. The combination of smart routing, scheduled syncs, webhooks, automatic retries, and a clear dashboard with proper alerts means we no longer waste time chasing FTP failures or debugging scattered logs. Everything just works reliably. Files.com turned a painful, high-maintenance process into something simple, visible, and scalable. The only real drawback we’ve encountered is pricing. While the price is absolutely justified for companies with high file volumes, complex routing needs, and heavy daily usage like ours (it easily replaces custom middleware and saves huge development and maintenance time), it feels significantly high for smaller teams or lighter workloads. As a development company, we especially lack flexibility in the pricing model. A client who only needs to synchronize a couple of files per day still ends up paying nearly the same as a large enterprise running thousands of transfers. As an admin for three sites in Files.com, I appreciate the platform’s strong security-first approach, granular permission model, and detailed audit logging, which make it easy to enforce least-privilege access and maintain compliance. The ability to manage users, roles, IP allowlisting, and automation independently across sites ensures clear isolation and reduces the risk of misconfiguration. The product has been “great” for our company and meets our needs in many ways. We’re able to automate file processing and provide a secure platform for sharing files with both internal and external entities. It is HIPAA compliant, which is extremely important to our organization. The variety of options and integrations also gives us the flexibility to meet both existing and new requirements across all of our customers and partners.

They are very customer-focused and forward-looking. They want to understand what customers are using their products for and explore ways to extend the product to meet current and future needs. I use Files.com to share secure files rather than sending sensitive data through email. I really like the ease of use and the ability to leverage the flexibility that it offers. It integrates seamlessly with a variety of different applications, including Google Cloud and other SaaS tools, which can be set up and configured in minutes rather than hours. I really appreciate the security of Files.com. It's definitely the standout feature for me. We've had experiences with other file transfer platforms where bad actors got access to files, but with Files.com, it's very secure, almost enterprise-level. Some of the things that are probably the most difficult for us are the fact that it can be a little cumbersome to get everybody set up, a lot of work to do there. Like all other cloud sharing services once you have a TON of data there the company will jack up your pricing to unrealistic prices. We've moved to implementing our own cloud as every single provider has done this to us after a year or two or three (max). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Once you go into renewals the folks there are pretty hard to deal with. No breaks, give us more money. I'd shy away from these types of services and pay the money to implement your sharepoint or other internal cloud solutions. I find Files.com to be very intuitive and easy to use. It provides many features not found in their competitors.
